About The Position
Premier Orthodontics is a growing orthodontic office seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Insurance Verification Specialist to join their team. This position is responsible for verifying orthodontic insurance benefits for their 5 locations and obtaining accurate patient coverage information. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, with an entry-level pay of around $19 per hour and experienced pay of $20-21 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous orthodontic insurance verification experience
- Knowledge of PPO insurance plans, claims, and benefits
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent phone and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment
Responsibilities
- Verify orthodontic insurance benefits before patient appointments
- Contact insurance companies regarding eligibility, frequencies, waiting periods, and lifetime maximums
- Using online portal to obtain insurance benefits
- Document benefit information accurately in patient charts/software
- Communicate insurance benefits to Treatment Coordinators
- Work closely with treatment coordinators and front office staff
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
