About The Position

This is an intern conversion role for early careers in the Insurance, Consulting & Technology business, specifically within the Property & Casualty division. The role involves working as part of a team on complex projects related to pricing and product development, reserving, capital modeling, and software implementation for insurance companies. Analysts will gain exposure to various aspects of insurance operations and learn practical skills by working with credentialed actuaries. The position offers the opportunity to develop technical knowledge and skills while working with diverse clients.

Requirements

  • Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship
  • Complete a Summer 2026 internship with WTW
  • Completion within the next year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Work or extracurricular experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills and leadership skills (actuarial internship preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; additional programming/software skills preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the overall pricing and development of personal and/or commercial lines insurance products
  • Leverage predictive modeling techniques to increase segmentation of risks
  • Perform loss reserve analyses, including preparation of actuarial reports, Statements of Actuarial Opinion and Actuarial Opinion Summaries, using a variety of methods and stochastic approaches
  • Learn WTW proprietary software to complete projects
  • Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities/maintain steady progress towards actuarial credentials
  • Build strong relationships internally and with client representatives
  • Document, review and present your own work
  • Assist in creating detailed project plans
  • Monitor project progress against deadlines and budget
  • Follow the firm’s Excellence guidelines
