About The Position

The Insurance and Annuities Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting with the marketing, sales and distribution of all life, long-term care and disability insurance and annuity products. This role involves assisting in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, partnering with stakeholders on promotional materials, educating Financial Advisors on strategies and product updates, and analyzing campaign and sales data. The specialist will also assist with training initiatives, manage external vendors, coordinate business process improvements, and collaborate with the Compliance team. Additionally, the role includes participating in client presentations, handling incoming calls from Financial Advisors, and assisting with due diligence on insurance providers.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extensive knowledge of life, long-term care and disability insurance and annuity products.
  • Excellent communications and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in an autonomous environment
  • Experience with financial calculators and tools, including the ability to analyze and interpret results
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), either Series 6 or Series 7, either Series 63 or Series 66, and Life and Health insurance license required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and implementation of all marketing campaigns regarding the sale of life, long-term care and disability insurance policies and annuity products.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders on the creation, customization and distribution of all marketing and promotional materials for all offered insurance and annuity products.
  • Educate Financial Advisors on insurance planning and income planning strategies, wealth transfer and product updates.
  • Develop, monitor and analyze all campaign and sales data for insurance and annuity products.
  • Assist with key training initiatives for the growth and development of Benjamin F. Edwards Associates.
  • Manage external vendors and make recommendations for changes to offered insurance and annuity products.
  • Coordinates with internal and external partners on business processes improvement.
  • Collaborates with the Compliance team on marketing approvals and provides input for the firms Written Supervisory Procedures (WSP).
  • Assist and participate in client presentations and seminars as needed.
  • Handle incoming calls from Financial Advisors including problem solving, idea generation, and acting as a liaison between vendors and/or Financial Advisors.
  • Assists with due diligence on insurance providers, reviews selling agreements and supports recommended list of providers.
  • General knowledge of laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations, and agency rules; familiarity with compliance issues surrounding insurance products.
