About The Position

GTE Financial is seeking an organized, professional, and dedicated Insurance Agent to join their sales team. This role is primarily responsible for meeting the insurance needs of clients by educating, quoting, selling, and servicing policies in compliance with state laws. The agent will focus on developing relationships and educating customers on suitable product services to ensure an exceptional member experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Property and Casualty 2-20 license and continuing education requirements.
Minimum of 3 years of experience or a combination of education and experience.
Functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.

Nice To Haves

Some college education preferred.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

Gathers information by phone or in person to determine client needs and match them with available products.
Communicates with customers, insurance companies, and other financial institutions via phone, mail, e-mail, fax, or in person.
Writes new policies and downloads documents into the agency management system.
Processes change request endorsements, claims, and confirms coverages to loss payees.
Handles member inquiries, cancellations, reinstatements, and billing questions.
Sets up and reviews policies, checking renewals and endorsements.
Maintains policies, including collections, automobile inspections, and home-owners' pictures.
Prepares responses for mailing.
Maintains company manuals with revisions.
Updates company underwriting manuals and computer revisions.
Collects money and checks for new policies.
Travels regularly for meetings, networking events, and conferences to build relationships in the commercial insurance industry.
