About The Position

BCAA is seeking an Insurance Advisor or Senior Insurance Advisor for their Kelowna Service Location. This role involves building strong client relationships by helping customers select appropriate insurance products and services. The ideal candidate will possess good judgment, the ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and solve problems. They should also be organized, flexible, and a collaborative team player who enjoys helping others. BCAA is a purpose-driven organization focused on delivering peace of mind to BC households through insurance, roadside assistance, auto repair, and car/e-bike sharing services. Requirements

  • At least 1 to 2 consecutive years of general insurance experience, including one year experience selling homeowners insurance.
  • Level 1 (Insurance Advisor) or 2 (Senior Insurance Advisor) Insurance license
  • Completion of Autoplan Essentials
  • Limited history of Errors & Omissions and in good standing with the Insurance Council of BC
  • Comfortable using technology, including basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • CAIB certification
  • Experience using ICBC systems
  • Ability to speak other languages aside from English

Responsibilities

  • Independently issue BCAA insurance products and services to current and new customers to meet their needs.
  • Help customers secure and/or renew their policies by reviewing current coverage and making recommendations.
  • Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting to assess and recommend the right coverage for customers.
  • Achieve sales and productivity goals while upholding BCAA and AAA/CAA Member experience goals and underwriting guidelines.
  • Lead customer accounts and documentation, from processing payments to issuing new, renewal, endorsements and cancellations for Insurance policies, BCAA Memberships, and additional products and services.
  • Increase industry knowledge and expertise towards becoming a team lead or people leader.
  • Participate in BCAA’s training courses, maintain annual licensing requirements and keep up to date with the latest processes, products and service offerings in the insurance industry.
