About The Position

The Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative performs essential functions including aiding clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts. This role involves specific service and marketing responsibilities, meeting service and sales delivery standards, and performing general office administrative duties. The position aims to carry out the mission of the organization at all times and works within an automated environment supported by transactional filing. The role also involves explaining policy coverage, changes, exclusions, and insurance needs to clients, providing technical support to producers, preparing proposals, and actively seeking referrals to generate new business.

Requirements

  • Fluency and skill in the AMS Vertifore System.
  • Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM platforms.
  • Hold Texas Property and Casualty License.

Responsibilities

  • Aiding clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts.
  • Meeting service and sales delivery standards.
  • Performing general office administrative duties.
  • Pre-qualifying new business prospects according to agency standards.
  • Determining if delayed or advanced billing is appropriate and invoicing accordingly.
  • Using each client contact as an opportunity to review the whole account, round it, and market.
  • Informing and educating clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs.
  • Providing technical support to producer(s) to benefit clients and reach agency's strategic business goals.
  • Preparing proposals and completing applications in coordination with producer(s).
  • Submitting applications to eligible and appropriate carriers.
  • Obtaining client signatures on all applications.
  • Following up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
  • Producing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items.
  • Verifying the accuracy of binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items.
  • Actively seeking referrals from the current client base.
  • Following up to generate new business by using the prospect database and automated marketing tools.
