About The Position

Daniela Mercado Allstate Agency is seeking a dedicated, proactive, and sales-driven Account Manager to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is already licensed, has insurance experience, and wants the opportunity to grow within a high-performing agency. The Account Manager will be responsible for building relationships with existing clients, identifying their needs, addressing concerns, protecting retention, and creating opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products. This role leads the sales side of the service department, focusing on retention, cross-selling, referrals, client reviews, and account growth, with support from Service Representatives who handle administrative tasks and provide referrals. No cold calling is required, as warm leads are provided daily.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in insurance account management, insurance sales, client retention, or a similar licensed insurance role.
  • Active Personal Lines or Property & Casualty Insurance License required. Candidates with a Personal Lines Insurance License will be required to have an active Life Insurance License.
  • Familiarity with insurance products, policy servicing, underwriting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and service goals.
  • Strong client relationship management and retention skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, follow through, and follow up consistently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience using insurance management systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
  • Must maintain a valid Personal Lines or Property & Casualty Insurance License as required by state regulations.
  • Must follow all insurance, regulatory, carrier, and agency compliance requirements.
  • Must maintain accurate documentation and uphold agency standards for client communication, sales, retention, and service.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for degree.
  • Proficiency in other languages preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Proactively reach out to clients to assess their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions.
  • Manage service-driven referrals and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Follow up on warm leads provided through agency sources, existing clients, and internal referrals.
  • Cross-sell during client interactions, including auto, home, renters, umbrella, life, and other applicable products.
  • Help protect customers by recommending additional insurance products that meet their needs.
  • Retain clients who are attempting to cancel by identifying solutions and preserving agency relationships.
  • Educate customers and prospective customers on how to protect their families, assets, and financial future.
  • Conduct semi-annual reviews for insureds during renewal periods.
  • Analyze client feedback, account activity, and retention trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and support retention strategies to reduce churn and increase client loyalty.
  • Identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with Service Representatives and other team members to resolve client issues and enhance the customer experience.
  • Partner with Service Representatives to maximize referrals and account growth.
  • Maintain accurate notes, follow-ups, and documentation in agency systems.
  • Adhere to compliance and underwriting requirements in accordance with state and federal law, insurer guidelines, and agency policy.
  • Participate in required training, coaching, performance reviews, and development courses.
