About The Position

The Account Manager I assist clients in managing their personal insurance policies, resolve service issues ensuring our clients’ needs are met with professionalism and care. Provide prompt, efficient, high-quality service to designated accounts in support of the Insurance Agent activities, document member requests and finalizes policy adjustments This position offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to build their career in the insurance industry.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Must be detail oriented, well organized and have supreme time management skills
  • Must have strong PC skills, with proficiency of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently in fast paced and complex business environment
  • Must be able to work in a general office environment
  • Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required
  • Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant’s members, both internal and external
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 1-year previous insurance customer service experience required, or equivalent financial services/credit union experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities have been acquired
  • State-specific Property & Casualty insurance license required or must pass exam within six weeks of attending pre-licensing program

Nice To Haves

  • Vertafore AMS360 agency management system experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Completes binders and/or policy or endorsement requests within three days of date quoted to client.
  • Maintains a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and suspense items.
  • Maintains timely and thorough customer and carrier interactions to minimize the potential for errors and omissions claims.
  • Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines
  • Follows-up on photo requests, requests for additional information, etc.
  • Handles routine correspondence between carriers, agency and insured.
  • Receives phone calls requesting changes to existing coverage and/or new policies.
  • Complete changes/requests within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Refers any new business applications to Insurance Agent staff.
  • Receives and reviews all terminations and cancellations to determine appropriate action within 72 hours of receipt.
  • Handles premium collection through form letters and request cancellation of policies when necessary.
  • Solicits new business opportunities with clients for lines of coverage not currently written by the agency and refers to Insurance Agent for cross sell.
  • Actively solicits increases in limits and/or coverages.
  • Actively seeks referrals from current client base to solicit for new business prospects.
  • Documents all material conversations with insureds and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all rating products and processes.
  • Participates in training and development opportunities to enhance industry knowledge and skills.
  • Assists with other tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Performs special projects at management’s request.
