About The Position

The Insulator I position is responsible for properly insulating copper and/or steel lines using the types of insulation required for refrigeration systems assembly. The role includes selecting and ordering the correct insulation, checking its thickness, cutting it to job specifications, and applying insulation to piping and receivers. The position may also involve stocking insulation in the inventory area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Use a tape measure properly.
• Order the correct type and size of insulation.
• Validate that insulation thickness is correct.
• Cut insulation according to the job specification sheet.
• Apply insulation properly to piping.
• Apply clad insulation properly to receivers.
• Stock insulation in the inventory area.
