About The Position

This is a remote/rotational position on a construction project with an estimated duration of one (1) year. The anticipated start date is October/November of 2026. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years Advanced layout and fabrication of sheet metal and insulation components.
  • Two (2) years of industrial facility experience.
  • Equipment Certification within 90 days of start date (i.e., man lift, scissor lift).
  • Valid driver’s license preferred including ability to be insured by Worley auto insurer.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, handling, installation, dismantling, adjustment, alteration, and repair of sheet metal and insulation.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in industrial construction or repair.
  • Advanced knowledge of sheet metal and insulation products.
  • Advanced ability to interpret mechanical drawings & P&ID(s).
  • Advanced ability to operate and maintain sheet metal and insulation shop equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.
  • Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.
  • Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination.
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather
  • Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
  • Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
  • Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
  • Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
  • Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
  • Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
  • Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

  • Rigging Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal for piping, HVAC and other and insulation systems.
  • Determines project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal and insulation products and equipment, such as piping weld kits, pipe fittings, module penetrations, and exterior, module ventilation hoods, casings according to job order or blueprints.
  • Sets up and operates fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, bending rolls and punch and drill presses to cut, bend and straighten sheet metal.
  • Fastens seams and joints together with bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, and bonds to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
  • Installs and inspects individual parts, assemblies, and installations for conformance to specifications and codes, using measuring instruments.
  • Lays out, measures, and marks dimensions and reference lines on material.
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts.
  • Touches up paint on walls or other structural surfaces.
