About The Position

Assists insulator to help apply, remove, and repair insulating material to exposed surfaces or structures, such as air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers and buildings to help control noise and maintain temperatures. Other duties may be as assigned.

TWIC Card and Driver's License.
Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands and fingers to perform assigned duties.
Positions may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, working at elevations, on uneven surfaces, or in confined spaces.
Employees must possess sufficient visual, hearing, communication, and motor skills to safely perform job responsibilities.
Employees must be able to read, comprehend, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies; exercise sound judgment; solve problems; maintain attention to detail; effectively manage stress; and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.

Nice To Haves

6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Work at heights with no fear.
Carry tools and materials, prepare surfaces to be insulated, and clean work area.
Assist Insulator with brushing adhesives on or attaching metal backed pipes.
Measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces using tape measure, knife, or scissors.
Assist in fitting, wrapping, or attaching required insulation material around or to structure.
Cover or seat insulation with specified material to secure insulation to the structure.
Other duties as assigned.
