About The Position

Fox Pest Control is seeking an enthusiastic Insulation Technician to service clients’ homes using the company’s products and deliver a positive customer service experience. The role involves specialized services that may include insulation removal and installation, rodent prevention, and treatments for mosquitoes, termites, and other pests. Technicians are expected to be versatile, knowledgeable, and ready to handle varied work.

The workday begins with a team meeting to review schedules and gather materials, followed by travel to job sites. Technicians remove old insulation and install pest-control insulation designed to improve energy efficiency and keep pests out. They communicate with clients and team members, inspect completed work, clean up job sites, complete paperwork, and participate in a team debrief.

Requirements

• Experience in construction work or insulation work.
• Ability to build positive relationships and effectively communicate value to customers.
• Ability to analyze pest control activity, explain an effective plan of action, and implement it.
• Ability to learn and follow service protocols for applying chemical solutions and powders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Service customers’ homes professionally and satisfactorily.
• Inspect properties and determine the appropriate treatment type.
• Identify invading pests.
• Remove, install, and maintain insulation systems.
• Apply chemical solutions, powders, and granules on or near building or house surfaces to eliminate pests, typically as special treatments.
• Follow safety procedures for application and re-entry.
• Use appropriate protective gear and equipment during application.
• Keep service vehicles organized, professional, and clean, and follow applicable regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance, including a clean company uniform, appropriate footwear, and personal hygiene.
• Build positive, strong relationships with clients and work to exceed their expectations.
• Suggest ways clients can avoid pest problems when appropriate.
• Participate in training to enhance knowledge and meet licensing requirements.
• Review schedules and gather materials with the team.
• Travel to job sites, conduct final inspections, clean up work areas, complete paperwork, and participate in team debriefs.
