About The Position
Working in the petrochemical industry installing/removing various types of insulation and jacketing on piping and equipment. This position will require a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Card). Insulation Journeyman must provide their own tools of the trade. 90% travel to job sites around the country.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years experience; preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
- Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and efficiently.
- Ability to write legible, routine correspondence and to speak effectively as well as coherently with management and other Chemelex employees.
- Knowledge of industrial electricity issues
- Works well within teams.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lb boxes.
- Applicant will be required to work from elevated heights, including mobile lifting equipment (MANLIFTS).
- Employment will be contingent upon passing Physical, Background and Drug tests along with an insulation journeyman written and practical test.
- This position will require a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Card).
- Insulation Journeyman must provide their own tools of the trade.
Nice To Haves
- NCCER Certifications preferred but not required.
