Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in Test/RF Equipment or Information Technology
  • Experience with large real-time data distribution systems
  • Experience with instrumentation systems and implementation of system in experimental test
  • Experience with communication equipment
  • Experience creating procedures and reports for hardware checkouts and maintenance
  • Test asset configuration management and maintenance process experience
  • Must be able to distinguish colors
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs unassisted

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in labs with large critical datasets
  • Experience with RF Receivers, Transmitters, and other communication equipment
  • Experience with Enterprise Networking and Computer Systems
  • Experience with programming languages and reading and editing XML Files
  • Experience training people on Computer and Networking Hardware Basics and Advanced Topics

Responsibilities

  • Support the Developmental Test and Certification Efforts of Archer’s piloted eVTOL aircraft project.
  • Maintain the test telemetry assets and ground station systems configuration, maintenance, and health.
  • Work with internal customers and vendors to solve instrumentation and telemetry related challenges.
  • Be responsible for troubleshooting RF equipment, Radios, and computers related to flight test telemetry.
  • Key advisor to the Instrumentation Director regarding all ground station hardware, computer assets, and RF hardware.
  • Develop processes and documentation to support the checkout and maintenance of ground test and telemetry equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Flight Test Engineering and Certification Teams to plan and perform all required development and certification flight test activities.
  • Assist in designing ground support and RF Equipment Systems wiring, termination details, and physical and digital integration with the aircraft and aircraft systems.
  • Assist in designing all hardware required for telemetry and radio systems. For example, computer racks, communication equipment, radios, and computer terminals.
  • Ensure the stability and readiness of ground telemetry and communication equipment.
