Instrumentation Technician - Water Treatment Plant
About The Position
Maintains and repairs all instrument and electronic controls for the Water Treatment Plant. This is a full-time position with a pay range of 53. Requirements
- Two-year degree or equivalent in electronics or related field
- Five to seven years experience in the electrical/electronics and instrumentation fields
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers, data and signal transmission systems
- Maintains an awareness of worker safety guidelines and procedures, and applies these in performing daily activities and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement schedules for repair and preventative maintenance of all electrical and electronic equipment.
- Maintain and calibrate all process control equipment.
- Interprets all plant drawings, operation and technical manuals.
- Generates preventative maintenance and calibration record histories using maintenance management software.
- Interfaces with equipment sales representatives for purchasing new or replacement parts for inventory.
- Uses various electronic test equipment and software to isolate and correct all process control malfunctions.
- Performs routine maintenance and repair on building heating/cooling controls and equipment.
- Maintains and troubleshoots computer/plc hardware and software problems and generates backups of various program files.
- Assists in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of water booster stations.
- Maintains automated bulk water sales system and prepares usage reports.
- Performs other duties are required.
- Maintains an awareness of worker safety guidelines and procedures and applies these in performing daily activities and tasks.
