Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Knowledge in the following areas: Instrument/electrical maintenance and repair, PLC’s and HMI’s with ability to read programming code, VFD’s and related control wiring schemes, Communication protocols and related wiring, TCP/IP, ControlNet, Modbus, CANBus, Industrial Radio communications systems, namely in the 900Mhz and 5.2Ghz range.

Nice To Haves

  • Instrumentation Technician Trade Certificate or Diploma is considered an asset
  • Oil and Gas experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, benchmarking and evaluating technology and field instruments to ensure proper operation, continuous improvements and reliability.
  • Coordinating and effecting the monitoring, installation, service, and reconditioning of a variety of equipment, instruments, and control systems.
  • Performing repairs, installations, and any work required to set up, align or otherwise prepare for operation.
  • Performing operational checks, monitoring performance, troubleshoot and related maintenance to identify and diagnose process and equipment issues.
  • Optimizing performance of equipment by monitoring the effectiveness and making corrective recommendations regarding instrumentation and electronic performance problems
  • Coordinate and oversee field activities/installations being performed by other contractors.
  • Participate in upgrades of existing facilities (e.g. injection/disposal well conversions, battery improvements, etc.).
  • Other related duties as required.
