About The Position

DeVine is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to join their team at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. This role supports a government customer in maintaining instruments for oceanography projects, including preparation, maintenance, and deployment of remote maritime instruments, unmanned undersea systems, and managing collected data. Responsibilities also include warehouse and logistics support, such as quality control, testing, pre-deployment setup, physical movement of instruments, forklift operation, logistics documentation, and data entry. Additionally, the technician will provide office and technical services, including instrument and system repair, testing, and documentation of tracking and status. Requirements

  • Current secret clearance or higher required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • 2+ years' experience with instrumentation maintenance and support required.
  • Ability to perform manual labor.
  • Ability to perform forklift operation.
  • Ability to manage logistics documentation.
  • Ability to perform data entry.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with software optimization.
  • Experience with 3M software.
  • AS or higher in Electronics Technology or related field preferred; 5+ years' operational experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • Experience with software maintenance desired.
  • Experience with wavemeters a plus.
  • Forklift experience and certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain instruments for oceanography projects.
  • Perform warehouse and logistics support functions.
  • Conduct quality control (QC), testing, and pre-deployment setup of oceanographic instruments and unmanned under systems.
  • Physically move oceanographic instruments and unmanned under systems.
  • Operate forklifts.
  • Manage logistics documentation and data entry.
  • Perform instrument and unmanned undersea system repair and testing.
  • Document instrument and/or unmanned system tracking and status.
  • Support preparation, maintenance, and deployment of remote maritime instruments and unmanned undersea systems.
  • Manage the data collected from oceanographic instruments.
