About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join a team to assist the USSOCOM Det 1, at Eglin AFB, Florida. As an Instrumentation Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Support USSOCOM Det 1 in all aspects of developing, fielding, and supporting emerging weapon capabilities. Design instrumentation packages based on requirements from Program Management and data analysts. Design and procure equipment. Coordinate with airworthiness office to receive approval to install instrumentation packages. Oversee instrumentation package installation on SOCOM aircraft in accordance with approved wiring diagrams to collect required test data. Facilitate with data analysts to ensure proper data is being recorded for required test points.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Education - Masters' degree in a technical/engineering discipline with at least 10 years of experience in an engineering capacity (A BS degree and an additional 2 years of experience may be substituted for MS degree).
  • Direct experience designing and overseeing installation of instrumentation packages.
  • In depth knowledge of aircraft wiring installation procedures.
  • Must have a working knowledge of military technical orders.
  • Must have an understanding with quality assurance processes.
  • Knowledge of aircraft schematics and wiring diagrams is required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Secret level security clearance must be current at hire, must be maintained throughout employment tenure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Quick Reaction Capability programs is highly desired.
