About The Position

Job Description: Metrologist The Metrologist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of laboratory equipment and instrumentation within a regulated scientific environment. This role supports critical laboratory operations by performing system qualifications, maintaining asset records, and ensuring documentation meets the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities Perform Performance Qualification (PQ) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities on chromatography systems. Conduct temperature and humidity mapping for refrigerators, freezers, and stability chambers as required. Manage and maintain equipment records within the Blue Mountain RAM asset management platform. Write, revise, and maintain technical reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Apply working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, and cGMP standards in daily activities to ensure adherence to regulatory expectations.

Requirements

  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Solid technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and understand complex laboratory instrumentation.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining self‑motivation and initiative.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong scientific background and understanding of laboratory operations.
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills, especially in client-facing settings.
  • High level of professionalism and the ability to represent the company well as a client‑interfacing ambassador.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and collaborative mindset as a team player.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
