About The Position

Job Description: Metrologist The Metrologist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of laboratory equipment and instrumentation within a regulated scientific environment. This role supports critical laboratory operations by performing system qualifications, maintaining asset records, and ensuring documentation meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Solid technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and understand complex laboratory instrumentation.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining self‑motivation and initiative.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong scientific background and understanding of laboratory operations.
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills, especially in client-facing settings.
  • High level of professionalism and the ability to represent the company well as a client‑interfacing ambassador.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and collaborative mindset as a team player.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Perform Performance Qualification (PQ) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities on chromatography systems.
  • Conduct temperature and humidity mapping for refrigerators, freezers, and stability chambers as required.
  • Manage and maintain equipment records within the Blue Mountain RAM asset management platform.
  • Write, revise, and maintain technical reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Apply working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, and cGMP standards in daily activities to ensure adherence to regulatory expectations.
