Instrumentation Engineer III
About The Position
Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries. This position performs assignments requiring engineering education, training, or experience and special knowledge or judgment of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences under the close supervision of a Professional Engineer. Assignments are designed to further develop the incumbent’s job knowledge and abilities. Applies Engineering principles in discipline of competency. Demonstrates a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities. Performs a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard design engineering techniques for a small project or selected segments of a larger project. Keeps supervisor informed of progress.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience related to instrumentation and control systems.
- BS in Engineering (or higher) from ABET accredited Institution
Nice To Haves
- Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
- Professional Engineering license is preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepares basic to advanced specifications detailing performance requirements, specific components, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements.
- Prepares technical specifications for review and approval.
- Assists in the development of instrumentation design calculations and packages.
- Visits client facilities to evaluate site, project scope requirements, and conditions.
- Prepares instrument datasheets.
- Prepares inquiry and purchase requisitions.
- Prepares bid tabulations on simple purchases.
- Reviews vendor drawings.
- Develops a focus on least cost, safe design.
- Supervises design personnel.
- Actively involved in maintaining the schedule and budget of assigned projects.
- Meets company quality assurance requirements.
- Supports field assignments as required.
- Must be able to perform all the functions of the lower classifications.
