Instrumentation & Electronic (I&E) Technician (Pampa, TX)
About The Position
Midwest Compressor Systems is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician who excels at troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure critical equipment remains operational. This role offers a dynamic work environment where daily tasks vary, including troubleshooting control panels, diagnosing VFD issues on electric compressor packages, identifying shutdown problems, replacing instrumentation, and assisting with the commissioning of new compressor packages. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of electricity, controls, and instrumentation, and is not hesitant to engage in troubleshooting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous electrical/instrumentation/controls experience
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel to customer locations as needed
- Meet Midwest's company vehicle and insurance eligibility requirements
- Take ownership and help solve problems
- Communicate effectively with customers and teammates
- Perform quality work, fixing the root cause of problems
