Instrumentation & Electrical Technician
About The Position
Linde Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician in Niagara Falls, NY. This role involves providing planning and onsite support with a strong focus on critical safety systems and system reliability. The technician will assist in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems. Responsibilities include performing calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of instrumentation to ensure accurate and reliable performance. The role also requires preparing and maintaining documentation such as work orders, service reports, and calibration records, as well as troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation, including predictive program instrumentation. Additionally, the technician will utilize control logic drawings to troubleshoot complex process control systems and support continuous improvement of reliability.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years (3) of experience in process control instrumentation.
- Strong proficiency with electrical and instrumentation hand tools, meters, calibration equipment.
- Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors.
- Ability to read and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams and schematic wiring diagrams.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working at heights.
- Availability to work extended hours when business needs arise.
- Flexibility to support weekend, holiday, and call-in coverage.
- Demonstrate a reliable and safety-focused presence during critical operational periods.
Responsibilities
- Provide planning and onsite support with a strong focus on critical safety systems and system reliability.

- Perform calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of instrumentation to ensure accurate and reliable performance.

- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation, including predictive program instrumentation with full repair history documentation.
- Utilize control logic drawings to troubleshoot complex process control systems.
- Support continuous improvement of reliability.
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on low voltage electrical systems.
- Calibrate process analytical equipment.
- Troubleshoot automatic control valves and electronic control systems.
