About The Position

Arclin is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for its Moncure, NC facility. This role provides maintenance support to the assigned production area, focusing on safely troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing faulty instrumentation and electrical equipment. Arclin's technologies contribute to safety in homes and transportation, aid in crop growth, ensure clean water, protect first responders and military personnel, and maintain pharmaceutical purity. Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience in an industrial facility environment or an equivalent mix of education and experience necessary to obtain journeyman level knowledge.
  • Must have CCST Level 1 or NCCER Instrumentation certifications
  • Ability to read and understand piping and instrument drawings, loop drawings, specification sheets, electrical schematics, and logic diagrams.
  • Ability to use electrical and electronic test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Capability to climb stairs (200 ft +) and ladders and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Capability to work in full personal protection equipment (PPE), air, respirator, suit, etc.
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed, and available for call out overtime.
  • To be proactive, have a strong sense of time management, and show pride in workmanship.
  • To possess strong troubleshooting skills, ownership and initiative in solving Electrical & Instrumentation issues, and an ability to work independently when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 4-20 mA instrumentation, 3 phase motors and controls, transformers, control panels, and wiring.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot transformers, motors (low and medium voltage, 5kV), lighting, transmitters, valves, alarms, and other process control devices.
  • Perform calibrations on all types of industrial pressure, level, flow, and temperature devices.
  • Replace switches, relays, transmitters, sensing devices, motors, valves, and other faulty equipment.
  • Participates in MOCs, PHAs, and functional description reviews.
