About The Position

The Instrumentation & Electrical Maintenance Supervisor leads instrumentation and electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations. The role supervises and develops maintenance personnel, oversees daily maintenance execution and contractor performance, improves equipment reliability, ensures preventive maintenance compliance, supports capital projects, and maintains compliance with safety regulations and electrical standards. The position is permanent and full-time, based in La Porte, Texas, and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
10 or more years of instrumentation and electrical (I&E) experience, including at least 8 years in maintenance organizations.
Supervision experience.
Ability to troubleshoot, specify, and design control systems and instrumentation.
Ability to troubleshoot, specify, and design electrical power systems up to and including 480V.
Basic understanding of radiation safety as it pertains to fixed gauges.
Basic understanding of 12.47kV–138kV maintenance and design.

Responsibilities

Supervise and develop maintenance personnel, ensuring the team has appropriate skills and capabilities.
Oversee daily maintenance activities, schedules, and contractor performance to ensure efficient execution.
Develop and implement equipment maintenance strategies to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Ensure preventive maintenance activities are properly documented, scheduled, and completed on time.
Lead root cause investigations and implement improvements to maintenance practices and equipment reliability.
Ensure electrical safety and proper maintenance of site power distribution equipment in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
