The Instrumentation & Controls Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all electrical control devices within the plant. This role involves reading and interpreting electrical drawings, rebuilding, installing, and calibrating equipment. The technician will troubleshoot controls and electrical systems to ensure proper operation of all plant equipment, and be fluent in the installation and programming of electrical devices including VFDs, PLCs, and instrumentation. Responsibilities also include loading programming into PLCs, drawing Ladder Logic diagrams, assisting with facility maintenance and repair, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. The role requires keeping maintenance records up-to-date and staying current with reporting requirements.
