The Control Technician will adhere to employee health and safety guidelines, maintain effective employee relations, supporting quality system expectations, and adherence to cGMP.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED minimum
  • Experience calibrating temperature probes, pressure transmitters/probes (emerson), conductivity probes
  • Understand electricity and electrical theory, possess a working knowledge of computers, computer operating systems, electrical and pneumatic components and devices, and the ability to work safely in electrical panels with up to 480 volts
  • Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, follow diagnostic and repair procedures from instrument equipment manuals on a wide variety of equipment requires training and experience in electrical theory, electronics, plant systems, equipment and procedures
  • Attention to detail and the ability to complete required documentation in a neat and accurate manner

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related education and experience
  • Experience with PLC's and integration, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic instrumentation and control devices

Responsibilities

  • Complete routine and complex calibrations and breakdowns for processing and laboratory equipment.
  • Proficient in scheduling work orders on current calibration/maintenance systems.
  • Review completed documentation by other technicians.
  • Prioritize and execute workload with little supervision.
  • Report status of ongoing work progress by updating work order system and communicating through emails and weekly reports.
  • Use standard office software and purchase order systems for maintaining inventory.
  • Comply with all safety and GMP procedures.
  • Performed routine and difficult calibration tasks as described in approved calibration procedures.
  • Support calibration procedure implementation, calibration out-of-tolerance impact investigations, and instrument repair.
  • Perform multi-craft activities to support production equipment in the R&D facility.
  • Troubleshoot automated processing systems using industrial software.
  • Be able to use test equipment to analyze electrical issues.
  • Read Blueprints / Site P&ID drawings and PLC Ladder logic.
  • Complete small program changes in PLC and HMI’s.
  • Participate as part of a cross functional project team on complex projects.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new instruments for continual improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervision and customers.
  • Employee will be working in an industrial environment which will require lifting, climbing, and bending to service equipment.
  • Schedule outside contractors to perform specialized repairs.
  • Assure contractors comply with safety and GMP requirements.
