About The Position

Become a part of ENERCON as an Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer. We are seeking talented I&C Engineers to join our Nuclear Design Group. Our Instrumentation & Controls Engineer career path has many options. You can bring your experience to our mid-level and senior roles, or step into a principal engineer position where you’ll lead and mentor others. Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical or similar Engineering Degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with design of I&C plant components and controls systems including PLC’s and DCS
  • Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm
  • Good writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • US Citizenship is required

Responsibilities

  • Conducting electrical assessments
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Updating plant drawings and documentation
  • Reviewing vendor submittals
  • Implementing innovative solutions to enhance plant reliability and safety
  • Produce precise and error-free drawings, calculations, and analyses that exceed industry codes, standards, and client expectations
  • Develop engineering documents that not only meet but surpass client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements, adhering to processes that guarantee excellence every step of the way
  • Continuously enhance your expertise in industry codes, safety culture principles, and advanced design techniques, staying ahead in the dynamic nuclear sector
  • Deliver exceptional engineering solutions that align with rigorous quality assurance programs and consistently raise the bar for project performance
  • Build trust and lasting relationships through clear communication, professional engagement, and the consistent delivery of superior engineering results
  • Partner seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated, well-rounded designs that meet diverse project requirements
  • Take your expertise on-site, engaging directly with client personnel, performing detailed plant walkdowns, and ensuring all structures, systems, and components meet the highest engineering standards
