This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote. Sargent & Lundy's nuclear power generation clients are digitizing existing power plants and building new ones, including small modular reactors (SMRs), to meet increasing demand for electric power. This expansion has created a need for additional Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineers. The position offers the opportunity to apply and expand engineering knowledge by working on multi-discipline I&C betterment projects for nuclear power plants, integrating electrical, mechanical engineering, and control theory. The role involves working with various components like electronic process sensors, digital controllers, touchscreen displays, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam turbines, and reactors to enhance plant functionality. The company supports professional growth through mentoring, technical sessions, and on-the-job training.
