The Instrumentation & Controls Designer is responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models using software such as AutoCAD, CADWorx Structure, and Electrical Design Suite. This role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision from lead designers and/or engineers while efficiently managing assigned tasks. The I&C Designer is expected to have a thorough understanding of processes, workflows, and NEC Codes for developing comprehensive construction packages, including drafting, modeling, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with project standards and specifications. In addition to producing high-quality deliverables, the Designer will collaborate effectively with the project team to meet deadlines and address any challenges or discrepancies that may arise during the design process. Under the supervision of engineering, the Designer will interpret and refine concepts and sketches into construction drawings, while also delegating drafting or modeling tasks to Instrumentation & Controls Designers as needed.
