About The Position
Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking an Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic for their modern coal processing environment. This full-time hourly position involves the installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of all electronic process control field instrumentation. The role is site-based in the Elk Valley, near Sparwood, B.C., and requires the ability to commute or relocate. The position operates on an attractive 4x4 day shift schedule and reports to the Supervisor, Maintenance Processing. Requirements
- Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with control systems, DCS and PLC experience would be an asset
- Previous mining experience an asset.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal in certain components of this role
- Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain electronic process control field instrumentation
- Work in a team-oriented environment of instrumentation and electrical peers
- Perform all aspects of installation where required, including piping and wiring.
