About The Position

Infinity Natural Resources is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician II to join their Operations team. This role will support the reliability and performance of production facilities by performing intermediate-level maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of instrumentation and control systems. The technician will work independently on routine and moderately complex tasks, support system upgrades, commissioning activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a field-based position supporting operations across Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, with occasional travel to Morgantown, WV for meetings and training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as an I&C Technician in the energy or related industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as NEC, API, and ANSI.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must meet all PHMSA and DOT criteria for safety-sensitive duties.
  • Subject to mandatory verification of DOT drug, alcohol, and safety records for the preceding two-year period.

  • Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical or Instrumentation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot field instrumentation, including transmitters, control valves, and flow meters.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control systems to support reliable production operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation, electrical, and control system issues with limited supervision.
  • Conduct loop checks, signal verification, and functional testing to ensure system accuracy and performance.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and control drawings.
  • Test, calibrate, and configure pressure, temperature, level, and flow measurement instruments.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and modification of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Collaborate with production, measurement, and automation teams to resolve issues and improve system reliability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, calibration documentation, and service reports.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and operational standards while performing field work.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately once per month) and respond to field emergencies or equipment failures as needed.
