ODEC is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Technician responsible for maintaining controls to ensure equipment operates at a high efficiency level. This role involves ensuring the plant emission’s monitoring system is operated and maintained in accordance with State and Federal specifications and regulations, while adhering to all safety, NERC, and environmental standards. The technician will maintain plant control systems, keep documentation up-to-date, and report equipment issues to the Operations Manager. They will also assist Operations in maintaining plant systems, troubleshoot using the Distribution Control System (DCS) to resolve equipment failures, and work with the operations team on maintenance as needed. The role may include operating systems as a back-up operator, maintaining and training others on test equipment, verifying calibration equipment documentation, and ensuring compliance with budgets. Additionally, the I&C Technician will assist in outage planning, schedule I&C related work, coordinate Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures during outages, and manage the purchasing of parts and equipment, as well as contractor scheduling with the Operations Manager. The position also involves developing and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies, monitoring plant compliance with EH&S requirements, assisting in reporting, and participating in EH&S audits.
