UDR is seeking qualified candidates for an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Design Engineer opportunity to support an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project. This position serves as a staff engineer performing engineering assignments of intermediate complexity. Under direct supervision of the Discipline Lead Engineer or Area Lead Engineer, the engineer will analyze and make independent recommendations regarding technical solutions to problems of intermediate complexity in accordance with project requirements. The role involves developing and reviewing specifications and design criteria, performing and checking engineering analyses and calculations, specifying materials, equipment and systems, and solving technical problems of intermediate complexity. Coordination of technical issues with other disciplines, project management, vendors and clients is essential. The engineer will execute work in compliance with the Project Quality Plan and procedures, and in accordance with the approved project scope, cost, and schedule baselines. Responsibilities also include establishing, controlling, and reporting on material key quantities, providing analysis and forecasts, and offering technical support for equipment and material procurement, subcontracting, and construction administration, including responding to requests-for-information and field changes.
