About The Position

This position is located in the Bunge North America soybean processing plant in Morristown, IN. The Instrumentation and Controls Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of all instruments, electrical equipment, PLC’s, and/or process analyzers.

Requirements

  • Experience as a journeyman electrician preferably in an industrial maintenance environment (minimum 3-5 years)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work safely and follow policies and procedures
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Willing to work overtime and flexible hours
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work 2nd / 3rd shift

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, and install electrical, instrumentation, controls systems and equipment, such as wiring, switches, control valves and analyzers, both process and environmental
  • Maintain alarm systems used in PLC control environments for the monitoring, control, and safeguarding of process system flows and operating variables in accordance with safety regulations
  • Perform a variety of complex technical duties including locating and diagnosing complex equipment failures
  • May perform repair, replacement, adjustment, and preventive maintenance on plant operating and control equipment
  • Have a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site’s food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Adhere to the food safety culture to provide safe product to consumers
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Follow good manufacturing practices
  • Report any concerns with safe food practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
