About The Position

Join our team at Ever-Green Energy as an Instrumentation and Control Technician – Meter. This position is responsible for the modification of automatic control and instrumentation systems. Analyzes malfunctions of instrument and control systems, prepares reports on metering, tracks preventative maintenance records, and provides engineering services for various projects and design changes.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of experience in process plant instrumentation and control systems and three years of experience in DCS and computer control systems.
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate operations and maintenance activities and set and achieve goals with a high degree of self-initiation and independence.
  • Ability to work well with others, to communicate clearly both orally and in writing and to direct and/or train others.
  • Familiarity with boiler and chiller equipment and their auxiliaries and with all types of maintenance work.
  • Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and plant controls applications.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics/blueprints.
  • Proficient in Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) program.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix and Woodward Turbine Control systems.
  • Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops procedures and methods for the diagnosis and resolution of instrumentation problems.
  • Prepares estimates, justifications, details and specifications for instrumentation plant betterment projects.
  • Coordinates the preventative maintenance and general maintenance for the Plant Control System.
  • Coordinates the preventative maintenance for all customer metering. Assists in the programming and calculation development of metering.
  • Responsible for the documentation and tracking of all PLCs in the plant including software development, programming, and calibration.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS)
  • Provides necessary technical assistance to Engineering staff in the supervision of electrical installations.
  • Assist in parts inventory management.
  • Must observe and comply with all standard safety codes and practices and perform work in accordance with recognized trade and company standards and local, state and federal laws.
  • Participates in mandatory training and other programs.
  • Performs other operating functions as needed to ensure uninterrupted operation of the plant.
  • Performs other related functions as assigned.
