About The Position

Avenues is hiring an Instrumental Music Teacher for an Upper Division leave replacement position from January 2027 through April 2027. The role supports a music program designed to help students develop as musicians and appreciators of music through deliberate practice, rehearsing and creating music together, and frequent public performances. Students have varied musical backgrounds, and the program welcomes all levels of experience. The teacher will implement a creative, flexible curriculum that goes beyond the traditional instrumental band model; lead multi-instrument student ensembles and violin sectionals; and help students grow in their passion, understanding, and performance skills. The annual salary range is $72,000–$112,433, prorated to the dates of the leave replacement. Competitive benefits are available for benefits-eligible roles.
