Summary Bends stainless metal tubing, according to specifications, for use in compressor packages by performing the following duties.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Shares expertise with others.
Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
Monitors own work to ensure quality.
Completes work in timely manner.
Observes safety and security procedures.

Responsibilities

Plans tubing job by laying out stainless metal tubing to fit connections on a compressor package.
Cuts tubing to required length using a hand tool.
Beads, burrs, and flares tubing.
De-burrs inside diameter after cutting.
Bends tubing by hand using bending tools to conform to required routing on compressor package.
Connects tubing to compressor packages using appropriate fittings, and secures tubing, as required.
Checks tubing connections.
Air tests all tubing runs.
