About The Position

Performs routine tests of circuits, instruments and mechanical assemblies to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of failure. Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used. Sets up devices using hand tools or automatic test methods. Documents test results. Maintain logs and records indicating if there is a malfunction. May perform simple repairs and/or component removal or replacement.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 5-10 years of directly related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to enter time and data into a computer system.

Nice To Haves

• Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
• Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)

Responsibilities

• Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.
