Instrument Technician II
About The Position
The Instrument Technician II will be responsible for reading prints and P&IDs to understand the scope of work, identify necessary equipment and tools, and perform assigned tasks. This role involves working with piping systems to install instrumentation for proper system function, control, and monitoring. The technician will use precision tools for calibrating instrumentation and adjusting electrical and piping components. Additionally, the role includes the installation, manipulation, and fabrication of piping and tubing according to specifications, and may involve assisting with other duties such as installing pipe, tubing, and related components.
Requirements
- Instrumentation NCCER certification
- 4+ years of experience in instrumentation or comparable knowledge
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to work with low and high-pressure tubing/piping systems
- Possession of tools
- Ability to work with precision instruments and tools
- Willingness to follow all company and project work policies and procedures
- Required to have all journeymen tools and experience with associated power tools
- Ability to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and P & IDs
- Ability to check performance using testing and measuring instruments and make necessary adjustments
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Willingness to follow all company and project policies, rules, and guidelines
- Willingness to assist in any additional qualified duties assigned

- Formal education or vocational training
- Experience in instrumentation on a new construction facility
Responsibilities
