Make a Difference We are seeking a detail-oriented Instrument Room Technician with CRCST certification to support surgical services by ensuring the proper handling, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments. This role is essential in maintaining instrument readiness, organization, and quality to support safe and efficient patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (C.R.C.S.T.) preferred upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, inspect, and prepare surgical instrument trays in the instrument room
  • Ensure all instruments are clean, functional, and properly organized prior to use
  • Coordinate instrument flow between decontamination, sterilization, and case cart preparation
  • Maintain accurate inventory of instruments and supplies
  • Identify damaged or missing instruments and coordinate repair or replacement
  • Work closely with OR staff and sterile processing team to meet case needs
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards at all times
  • Responsible for the care and preservation of all instrumentation.
