About The Position
The Instrument Tech and Certified Instrument Tech holds a safety sensitive position and is responsible for delivering surgical trays and supplies necessary for surgical procedures. The Instrument Tech has an understanding of the procedure(s) being performed and anticipates the needs of the OR. The Instrument Tech has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment.
- Knowledge of fundamental sterility.
Responsibilities
- Delivering surgical trays and supplies necessary for surgical procedures.
- Anticipating the needs of the OR based on an understanding of the procedure(s) being performed.
- Ensuring quality patient care during the operative procedure.
- Maintaining vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field.
