The Instrument Fitter III installs and routes tubing systems for industrial instrumentation in refinery, petrochemical, gas processing, and heavy industrial facilities. This position specializes in impulse tubing, instrument air piping, analyzer tubing systems, and pneumatic hookup for process instrumentation and control systems. Must be capable of reading and executing work from P&IDs, loop drawings, installation drawings, isometrics, and instrument details with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of industrial instrumentation experience in refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial facilities
• NCCER required
• Must be able to support turnarounds, maintenance, and capital projects

Responsibilities

• Install and route tubing/Dekoron tray, Dekoron tubing, impulse tubing, and instrument air piping systems
• Run tubing to transmitters, control valves, solenoids, analyzers, regulators, and pneumatic field devices
• Install high-side and low-side tubing for DP transmitters used in flow and level applications
• Perform precision tube bending and grouped tubing installations
• Install supports, instrument stands, and manifolds.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, installation drawings, isometrics, and instrument specifications
• Verify tubing routing, supports, slope, spacing, and installation quality per project standards
• Support pressure testing, leak checks, punch resolution, and commissioning activities
• Maintain CAM safety, quality, and housekeeping standards at all times
• Determine daily material needs
