The Building Automation Services (BAS) team at the University of Virginia (UVA) is seeking an Instrument Calibration Technician. This role supports various departments across UVA by calibrating, verifying, and documenting sensors and instruments (temperature, pressure, humidity, flow, and electrical measurement devices) used in building systems and environmental monitoring across more than 600 buildings. The technician will use certified reference standards to test and adjust field devices, diagnose signal errors and instrument drift, and collaborate with automation service technicians to resolve measurement issues affecting system performance on Johnson Controls Metasys and Automated Logic WebCTRL platforms. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in diverse environments, including historic academic buildings, research labs, and clinical spaces, while gaining experience with industry-standard platforms and contributing to a stable, mission-driven organization.
