About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has a unique combination of education, research, and clinical programs that encourages and supports teamwork and diversity. Requirements

  • MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a pediatric residency program.
  • Focused training in Pediatric Critical Care/Cardiology.
  • Arkansas medical licensure.
  • Board eligible or board certification in pediatrics.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in alignment with the mission and goals of the College of Medicine.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients, with a focus on addressing the healthcare needs of children in Arkansas.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in academic activities, including teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the development of educational programs within the College of Medicine.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, such as research, presentations, or quality improvement initiatives, consistent with personal academic goals and College expectations.
