About The Position

A successful candidate will serve as Production Manager/Technical Director for the Tennessee Tech Theatre program and oversee the technical aspects of annual productions. This faculty member should be qualified to teach Stage Management, Sound Design, Lighting Design, and Stagecraft. Other areas of teaching may be assigned based on the candidate's interest and experience. This position includes course release for overseeing the technical aspects of annual productions.

Requirements

• Earned MFA, with a specialization in technical theatre, by the time of appointment.
• Capability in scenic and lighting design.
• Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and university personnel.
• Experience in production management and set construction.

Nice To Haves

• College-level teaching experience.
• Professional theatre experience.
• Experience in costuming and/or makeup.
• Experience in set design, light design, construction, and production management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Production Manager/Technical Director for the Tennessee Tech Theatre program.
