About The Position

The Shawnee Family YMCA is seeking a Part-Time Instructor to provide quality and variety of instruction. The ideal candidate will run a safe and healthy class, staying away from contraindicated exercises, and conduct an appropriate workout class for the given time, including warm-up, aerobic work, cool-down, and muscle tone/stretch. This role also involves staying current with techniques through reading, workshops, attending other classes, and staff meetings. Building rapport with class participants by learning their names is also a key aspect of this position. The instructor will be prepared for classes ahead of time, have equipment ready, and start class on time. Attendance at staff meetings, orientations, and in-service training is required.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
