About The Position
The SIUE School of Nursing is seeking full-time, non-tenure, academic year term instructor appointments for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a full-time faculty member, you will be expected to demonstrate competent teaching across the curriculum, including didactic, clinical, and online settings, within our graduate and/or undergraduate programs. Additionally, faculty are expected to maintain a program of scholarship relevant to nursing practice, the nursing profession, and/or nursing education, and to engage in service to the School of Nursing and other constituencies aligned with the organization's mission. Requirements
- Master’s of Science in Nursing required.
- Two (2) years of experience in clinical nursing.
- Doctorate (PhD, EdD, DNS, DNSc, DNP) is required for any graduate faculty position.
- RN licensure in Illinois and Missouri.
- Practice experience in the specialty area being applied for is required.
Nice To Haves
- Doctorate preferred.
- Previous teaching experience in a baccalaureate program preferred but not required.
- Research experience preferred but not required.
- Pediatrics, maternal child, public health, medical-surgical, nurse practitioner, health care informatics, nursing administration, or school nurse education and experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
