We’re hiring Full-Time Instructors across the United States to deliver world-class training to professionals in the collision repair inter-industry. This role offers a sign-on bonus and the chance to make a direct impact on safety and skill development in the field. As a Full-Time Instructor, you’ll deliver I-CAR training in hands-on, classroom, and virtual formats. You’ll bring your technical expertise in collision repair to life—teaching topics such as structural repair, MIG brazing, welding, and dent removal. Your work ensures that technicians stay up to date with industry-leading techniques and standards.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have experience in the collision repair process, including: Automotive welding, MIG brazing, Structural repair, Steel and aluminum dent removal, Squeeze-type resistance spot welding (STRSW).
  • Experience performing these tasks in a professional setting is essential, as you will be teaching other industry professionals how to safely and accurately perform these procedures.
  • This role requires extensive travel, typically Monday through Friday with overnight stays. Instructors may travel to different regions based on training needs.
  • Candidates must be comfortable with a travel-based schedule and adaptable to different training environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the collision repair industry.
  • Welding expertise as outlined above.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and technical skills.
  • Access to a suitable environment and internet connection (15 Mbps+) for virtual delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior involvement with I-CAR strongly preferred.
  • Platinum Individual status and prior training experience are a plus.
  • ASE certification is encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver I-CAR courses in accordance with established training protocols and standards.
  • Provide instruction across various formats—including hands-on welding and virtual classes.
  • Prepare for training sessions by reviewing course content, ordering materials, and ensuring readiness of props and equipment.
  • Facilitate engaging learning experiences for up to 50 students in virtual sessions (as applicable).
  • Promote I-CAR’s mission and offerings to industry professionals, schools, vendors, and partners.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of attendance and grading, following I-CAR procedures.
  • Participate in training events, pilot classes, and continuous improvement sessions.
