About The Position

The University of Alabama’s College of Human Environmental Sciences is seeking an Instructor in Human Environmental Sciences beginning in Fall 2027. This is a nine-month, non-tenure-track, renewable contract faculty position supporting degree programs in Human Environmental Sciences. The primary responsibility is teaching courses across HES degree programs. The role also includes assisting with program-related activities and providing service to the program, department, college, university, and profession.

Requirements

• Completed master’s degree in a discipline associated with the College of Human Environmental Sciences or a closely related area.
• Record of excellence in college teaching in both residential and online environments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or training in disciplines within the College beyond the candidate’s graduate degree discipline.
• Terminal degree.
